The Rustic Pathways Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and all of its initiatives are funded through the donations and support of generous individual and corporate sponsors. Donations are tax deductible in the USA.
100% of Donations Go Directly to Our Projects
All of our operating and administrative expenses are financed by Rustic Pathways USA which means that 100% of all donations go directly towards our initiatives to increase opportunities for deserving students and communities both in the United States and abroad.

Education Through Travel Scholarships
One of the core missions of the Rustic Pathways Foundation is to facilitate experiential education programs for students with limited financial means. To this end, the Foundation strives to offer privately sponsored scholarships for exceptional students with demonstrated financial need. Click here for more information.
Do you have an idea for a project or want to help a particular community in the Rustic Pathways family?
We rely on the passion and motivation of youth to make many of our projects a reality and we encourage students to play an active role in the global community.
In addition to the on-going projects of the Foundation, we help to facilitate many smaller-scale projects in communities were Rustic Pathways travels. If you want to sponsor a project please complete the Student Initiated Project Form.
Often, Rustic Pathways alumni propose projects that they have identified while travelling oversees. Past projects have included: construction of a new roof for a school in Tanzania, provision of computers for Burmeese refugee students in northern Thailand, installation of electricity to two communities in the Sacred Valley of Peru, construction of a playground for a kindergarten in Fiji, and many, many more.
We accept proposals from students and other donors for projects they are interested in funding and will work with you to design a meaningful and feasible project. All projects must be approved by the Foundation. Projects must have a demonstrated need, strong community support, and be financially feasible and reasonably manageable by the Rustic Pathways Foundation team.
